A Nigerian gospel singer, Timi Dakolo, has taken to social media to celebrate his 40th birthday.
The talented singer shared his lovely photos on his Instagram page on Wednesday to mark the occasion.
In the caption that accompanied the post, Dakolo expressed his excitement at the opportunity to witness and celebrate the age in which he described as the “4th floor of life”.
“Happy birthday to me. I am so overjoyed. I can’t believe I am 40. It was just yesterday I was writing WAEC and doing revision on my PN Okeke,” he wrote.
“It was just yesterday I was dreaming working in Shell and stay in shell camp. Take my granny abroad and buy her everything. Anyways. I just want to live a quality life and laugh as hard as I can. The 4th floor of life looks great.”
Dakolo began singing in church at the age of twelve. He later joined the group Purple Love as a founding member in 2003. They dominated a Port Harcourt club but disbanded in 2005 as its members sought university education.
He came into the limelight after emerging winner of the inaugural season of Idols West Africa, a reality show, in 2007.
The singer got married to Busola in 2012, and the union is blessed with three children.
